Vegan brownies- Deliciously healthy
Today we will be making vegan brownies out of chickpeas.
2. Next day drain the chickpeas. Boil the chickpeas for few minutes. Mash the chickpeas to a thick paste like consistency using a masher or a food processor. Cover the prepared chickpea mash and keep aside for the time being. Do not throw away the water remaining after boiling because we are going to use it later.
3. We will prepare two different mixtures (Dry and wet) separately to form a smooth batter at the end.
Dry mixture- Add oats flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, sugar, few chocolate chips and almonds into a grinder/food processor. Process until a fine flour forms.
4. Wet mixture- Add mashed chickpeas, peanut butter, vanilla essence and chocolate syrup into the food processor and process until a smooth batter forms. Also add the water which was left after boiling the chickpeas.
5. Now process the dry and wet mixture together to form a smooth final batter.
6. Take a non-stick frying pan. Grease it with oil and heat it. Pour the the batter into the pan and spread it.
7. Sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
8. Keep the flame low and cover the pan with a lid. Let the batter get cooked for about 35 minutes. You can use an oven if you like. Bake the brownies in a greased baking pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
9. Let the prepared brownies cool for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
