WHAT CONSTITUTES A SUSTAINABLE DIET?
Generally, plant-based or vegan diets are considered to be more sustainable as compared to the diets that include meat and other animal products.
A perfect sustainable diet includes whole grains, legumes, nuts and a great variety of fruits and vegetables.
The reason for this is that vegan diets use the least water and have greatest reduction in land use and green house gas emissions.
On the other hand, the animal source foods have significant impacts on the health of both human and environment.
